Our award winning super cool new building sits up in the woods above the beautiful Loch of Lintrathen in Angus.  It is a contemporary Scottish building which is half family home and half drawing office.

Humpty House is a 21st century interpretation of a traditional rural agricultural structure.  The interior is open with long wide oak floor boards, exposed agricultural style steel, enormous shutters and pendant lights.  We designed many of the building components from our steel roof structure to our staircase, furniture and even the kitchen drawer pulls.  One of the most important parts of the design was to create a very bright and happy space full of natural daylight.  Even in winter the interior is bright.  Large windows frame the views of the loch, the roe deer grazing and the little red squirrels playing in the oak trees.  We can also watch the geese fly over on their way to the loch through the roof windows.

Our new Drawing Office is spacious, bright and a wonderful place to work – surrounded by models, drawings, big computers and tea & cake.  Our home has open plan living and is sustainable and adaptable.  We love it!
