We call it the tea and cake system. It’s simple: you come to us with an idea, whether it’s for an innovative farm diversification project; a super cool new house in a beautiful location; a new school or an inspiring office for your team. We love working on exciting projects and solving challenges through design.

We discuss your idea over a cup of tea and a slice of cake. These tea and cake meetings continue all the way through the process until the final one, in the finished building. Building Workshop’s involvement from start to finish ensures that none of the architectural integrity is lost during the process, and you can carry on with your life and enjoy the architectural experience. And drinking tea and eating cake is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

We are a very creative and design-lead practice.  Good architecture is a lot more than creating a building which looks good: equally important is to create places and spaces that make people feel good.  There is a very human dimension to our design process and we love working closely with our clients to create special architecture.
